The MEV Community.
Connection, learning, and growth through common knowledge and resources.
The Modern Eco Village was born from a simple desire: to live a life that feels good, surrounded by people who care about the same things. At its heart, this is a community-driven project, shaped by the people who are choosing to be part of it. This community was created to gather people interested in this vision, where everyone can get inspired and be heard, learn from each other, and discover what living in the MEV means to you. For us, it’s a lifestyle that embraces everything we love while overcoming the limitations of conventional living.
Located in Spain, the project will house 500 families in modern, with the highest living standard, eco-friendly homes designed for sustainability, free from toxic materials and EMF, with large gardens, fruit forests, and communal spaces including schools, restaurants, offices, a wellness center, and more. Along the way, we’ll be sharing what we learn and inviting people from our own community to offer their stories, their wisdom, and their heart. This is not just a project. It’s something we are building together.
Get to know your future neighbors
Curious about who you’ll be living amongst? Our village brings together families with children, remote-working professionals, semi-retirees seeking an active lifestyle, and forward-thinking entrepreneurs. Say hello to a few of them below.
We’re a mix of young families, creatives, solo adventurers beginning a new chapter, and folks in their 60s and 70s seeking a more grounded, connected life. Our ages range from 2 to 75+ years young, and we come from over 12 countries and a lifetime of experiences. What brings us together? A shared desire to live more slowly, more meaningfully, and in real community, close to nature.

I live together with my partner, who works as an operating room nurse, and our small (but big in personality!) long-haired Chihuahua. We enjoy a simple yet active lifestyle with a mix of health, good food, and time outdoors.
I work full time as a pilot and part time as a flight instructor, which has given me the chance to explore the world from above and meet people from many different cultures. In my free time I like strength training, Muay Thai, jump rope, and daily cold plunges – all things that keep me grounded, focused, and energized.
Together with my partner, I’m also in the early stages of building a startup where we are developing a new product. It’s an exciting journey that challenges us, teaches us, and adds an extra layer of creativity to our lives.
Family, friends, and community mean a lot to me, and I try to create balance between ambition, adventure, and appreciating the small joys in everyday life.

Working in health-services and physical preservation. (DO in Osteopathic Medicine). Very active in winters ports and different exercise-activities, running, hiking ,rock-climbing. Food and wine from all Mediterranean countries and music. Love gardening and renovation.
Hege- Very social oriented, positive and curious and love being outdoors. Physical and an open minded person to everything new.
Creativity in interior decoration, garden-work, cooking, re-building, skiing and dancing and all kind of exercise, hiking and music. Very family-orientated

Before my kids (Eleanora age 11, Oliver age 9) started taking all my time....haha.... I was a frequent music concert goer...I love going to the movies, and I love traveling. Since being in Nigeria I have taken up a lot of cooking as a hobby. I have my own sourdough starter....am on a constant quest for the best chocolate cookie recipe, love making Neapolitan pizza's, and my Instagram feed is all but taken up with reels on all types of recipes.
Before moving to Nigeria I worked in several different fields. I was in administration at the Bank of American IBK Energy office, I was a archivist at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, an Information consultant, and a chemical laboratory technician.
I love being active. Kate and I met each other when we were both involved in races. Myself it was marathons....I've run about 8, and for Kate it was sprint triathlons. An injury has kept me from returning to running but I still spend time every week in the gym weight training and playing tennis. We are a skiing family.....we try to go twice a year. The kids love it and it is our favorite family vacation.

According to a personality test, I'm a Protagonist (ENFJ-A)—someone who thrives on connection, creativity, and service. While I cherish my privacy and alone time, I also deeply love being part of a family and a community.
I enjoy giving, sharing my talents, and creating meaningful bonds. People, music, dancing, theater, philosophical conversations, and even a good game bring me joy. At the same time, I regenerate through solitude—meditating, writing, drawing, caring for my garden, walking in nature, swimming in rivers, lakes, or the ocean —and I hope to find a rock climbing area nearby.
My core values are curiosity, playfulness, respect, creativity, honesty, and freedom—all of which I see reflected beautifully in the guiding principles of this group. Growing up as the oldest of six siblings instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility, and later raising three amazing children who are now out in the world with their own families has been one of my greatest joys.
Now, as I often tell my friends, this is my time to play. I'm working on projects that excite me—a language education program for children and a documentary film about the people, instruments, and music of Venezuela, where I return every year to visit.
I look forward to sharing, learning, and co-creating with all of you—building community through sustainability, collaboration, and well-being, while also celebrating the creativity and joy of life together.
I have three kids and four grandkids who do not live with me, but will be visiting the MEV. As for me, I travel frequently to stay in touch with them, and when I'm home, I enjoy activities such as hiking, climbing, gardening, and swimming. I sing in a band, and I'll have to find a new group here in Spain.
In San Francisco, CA, my home for over 40 years, I host house concerts where I invite friends to share food and wine while listening to world music. Since I live in the city, I attend lecture series, opera, and concerts, and search for new and interesting happenings in town. These activities may change due to being farther away from a city, but we can still bring some interesting activities to our community.
I work remotely at my own company, Bilingual Kids Lab, with colleagues in Argentina, Venezuela and Colombia. It will work out all right if we make slight adjustments to our schedules.

I love exercise especially weight lifting, running and swimming. I love children and being around children but my favorite times are always with my family. I love hiking and spending time in the mountains I am a police officer for the last 27 years and do love it, but am changing my work to begin my business in breathwork and helping people with the correct ways to breathe.

My passions are integrative medicine and am CONSTANTLY learning something new every single day. I am always doing some new certification or course to grow in my knowledge to be able to help people combat disease and toxicity in this modern world. I grew up horseback riding and have a special connection to horses and hope to start that again in the MEV. I love Pilates and weight lifting for exercise. Before doing the work I do now, I worked as a midwife in the hospitals in the USA and have a deep passion for women’s health, infertility, and preconception care. I also have a profound love for supporting new mothers. I am an obsessive reader (nonfiction only!) and probably read at least one book per week or so.

My passions are walking with my dog Noa, traveling, reading and go for a drink and eat with Wibo and/or friends.

My passions of life are traveling, nature hiking and exploring and discussing the mysteries of life.

My family is from Chile and that is why my name is not a typical Norwegian last name:) I was born and raised in Norway and can speak a little bit of Spanish. I am able to have a conversation as I understand mostly everything. I am interested in traveling and getting to know new cultures, languages and people. I lived in Sydney, Australia for about 6 months as a exchange student program, and those months are some of my greatest experiences. I am also interested in sports, especially football and basketball. My greatest passion is that I like to try out and learn new things and skills, whether it is being responsible for a school system or gardening.

I am from the country side in Norway, surrounded by nice neighbors, a lot of dogs, ponies and cats🐕🐴🐈 I am a little sister with three much older siblings, that now have kids. I love being an aunt and really like being around kids. My family runs a nature-kindergarden next to our house, where my mom, dad and older sister works, and also other kind people. I have worked there occasionally since i was a little girl, and work there still in every holiday back home.
Now i live in Trondheim in my 4th year as studying to become a teacher. I work as a group instructor in a dance-workout-class. I love the people and life i have here in Trondheim, but my studies wont last forever, so I really look forward to making meaningfull connections, friendships and a good life in the MEV.

I am a trained project manager with a keen interest in green technology.
I'm also an Age Group Triathlete and represent the UK in international events. Just got back from the European and World Championships this year in France and Spain and have qualified for next year's events too.
My hobbies and passions are running, swimming and cycling training and trying to eat well.
Also love traveling and seeing new cultures.

I’m also a naturally curious person so I thrive on having different experiences, exploring passions, and learning new perspectives which continue to shape who I am. Right now, I’m focused on creating a life that’s rooted in purpose, growth, and giving back to others.
I have so many passions that truly excite me! My spiritual journey, which began in 2017, has sparked a deep love for all things metaphysical and esoteric. Over the past couple of years, I’ve also been on a transformative health journey, which has only deepened my passion for holistic health, wellness, biohacking, and natural healing. I also enjoy playing sports, traveling, trying new foods, practicing Spanish, and making high-vibe music.
If self-development were a personality trait, that would be me hands down. I love diving into anything that challenges me to grow and helps me connect with others on a deeper level. This passion for growth and connection recently inspired me to start my own digital marketing agency. It’s exciting to channel my creativity and strategic thinking into helping businesses grow authentically while connecting with incredible people and their big visions. It’s one of the ways I get to blend my entrepreneurial spirit with my desire for meaningful impact.
Lastly, one of my biggest passions is helping people reconnect with their true selves - remembering who they are, why they’re here, and what their soul’s purpose is, especially during these transformative times. This is exactly why I believe we’re all here, to come together and co-create the "New Earth" beginning with the Modern Eco Village. If you’ve explored spirituality or the work of Dolores Cannon, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
If I didn’t scare you off already, I’d love to connect! I can’t wait to nerd out with all my people! 🤓

Wendy loves reading and studying metaphysical topics and learning about life’s bigger mysteries. The most important for her is a community where low EMF is prioritized as she is electro sensitive.
As the owner of the Norwegian company EMF CONSULT, Odd Magne has been working to find good and affordable shielding solutions for electro hypersensitive (EHS) persons. During his work with EHS-persons and his research on this topic he has gained extended knowledge on how to build LOW-EMF-BUILDINGS. https://emf-consult.com/

My work and my only passion at the moment is the MEV but I’ve always had a passion for music and I play the piano since I was 3 years old. Even though I haven’t played music professionally for over 7 years I would like to find the time to take it up again, write more, record, and even perform for those in the village that would want to listen.

I thrive when I feel useful and are able to help others in some way or another. I have luckily, through experience, also learned to accept help from others as well. :)
I have had many experiences in life, but I am not the same person as the one who had them. Each faze taught me new things and I am always eager to learn and develop. My basic question that I take with me on my life path is: “What can I learn from this experience?” The beauty of it is that sooner or later I do get an answer helping me moving forward.
At the moment I am working as a career advisor where I am able to help people find work, help motivate and inspire, find solutions etc. Sadly, the Norwegian government have started to set up too many rules and restrictions that has made my work much more unpleasant for me. I would now love to be able to use some of my other competences and passions in the MEV together with others.

I love pottery! I’m not very good at it but I truly love it. I also love books and do dream of having a little book club! I also need movement in my life and love people who can drag me along for walks and pilates and such. I don't like anything that's fast or spikes adrenaline hehe.

We are both passionate about sustainability and conservation. We believe all entities: nations, corporations, and individuals have the responsibility of taking care of the environment and the finite resources of the planet. We are advocates for renewable energy generation, and the de-carbonization/electrification of all modes of transportation. We also believe that good nutrition is the key to a healthy life, and the best way to avoid illness.

I have many passions. I have been singing for as long as I can remember, so music is very important to me. I sang acapella in high school and college (yes, similar to the movie Pitch Perfect 😂), and one day I hope to record my own music. Beyond music, I love all creative pursuits like writing, singing, photography, and yoga. Movement is a huge part of my life– I love being active through long nature walks, hiking, pickleball and tennis. I am also passionate about languages. I speak fluent Spanish and some Italian, but I’m excited to learn more. I can’t wait to further explore all of these passions in the village!

I’m endlessly curious about what makes people unique — human behavior, belief systems, and the science behind transformation & manifestation. I’ve studied some neuroscience, psychology, and energetics, and I’m always looking for the bridge between inner work and real-world results. I’m a trained music therapist with a Bachelor of Education, 10 years teaching experience (globally and in Canada) and I’ve taught everything from music and ESL to phys ed; including coaching sports.
I’ve run a music and voice-over agency for over 5 years, creating endless content and along the way, I figured out how to replace myself and create passive income through the business. I've been coached by some of the best in business on my journey. I’m naturally entrepreneurial — creative with marketing, audio/video, an expert communicator and obsessed with natural health, vitality and personal growth. I'm passionate about freedom-based living, and you might find me boxing, diving, cycling, kayaking, walking, hiking, swimming, doing yoga, and lifting weights keep me grounded in my body. I’m also a big believer in financial literacy and conscious investing and have success doing so.
My family is originally Dutch and French, but we're based in Ontario. I have lived in Beijing, Panama, the Netherlands, Mexico, Uganda, Malta, The Galapagos, and Spain (to name a few) I’m the middle child between an older sister and younger brother, and proud aunt to seven wild and wonderful nieces and nephews. My parents have been married over 50 years. My mom was a stay-at-home mom (thank you mom) and my dad worked as an engineer and had his own side business and he's also a pilot (something I always wanted to learn but so far I have only been caught jumping out of planes!)
You could say I’m a heart-led, soul- fueled, serial entrepreneur who never stops learning and considers this life one crazy, exciting adventure — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am 54 years of age but feel 40. That is due to my loving partner(Rebecca). I have two grown children from a previous marriage. I enjoy the outdoors and i am a Carpenter/builder with 35 years of experience

I’m a digital mentor and facialist — a mix of tech and touch! I help women uncover their purpose and launch digital projects that give them freedom and joy. At the same time, I offer natural anti-aging facial treatments and love everything related to holistic well-being.
I’m part of an academy that teaches how to create income through digital products, and I collaborate with natural skincare brands that align with my values. I’m passionate about well-being, personal growth, and relationships — and I’m always looking for new ways to live a more authentic, nourishing life. If you’re into soulful entrepreneurship, natural beauty, or simply slowing down, I’d love to connect.

I have been married for nearly 30 years, and together with my husband, we have raised two wonderful daughters who are now adults. Although we don’t yet have grandchildren, our family remains close, and our shared memories continue to shape who I am. I take great joy in creating a warm and beautiful environment, both indoors and outdoors. In recent years, our cabin has become my true passion, a place where I have poured my heart into renovation projects, gardening, and growing vegetables. It’s my sanctuary, where I find both peace and inspiration. Books films and series is another deep passion of mine. When the mood is right, I can finish an entire book in a single day. Reading is not just a hobby, but a way to explore new worlds and ideas. Professionally, I am a trained teacher with a master’s degree in mathematics education. I have taught both mathematics and and science for several years, and I still work in education, now in a leadership role as assistant principal at a lower secondary school. Supporting students, teachers, and the broader school community is something I find deeply meaningful. Whether through my work, family life, or personal interests, I’m guided by a love of learning, a care for people, and a desire to create something lasting and good.

I am 56 years old and work as a financial adviser in the municipality of Drammen, married for almost 30 years, two daughters aged 26 and 28, love to; stay fit/work out, ride the bike and play the drums.
Members will be able read more about each other in our internal community page coming soon!

Meet the Founders
A lot of people are curious about the crazy married couple who decided to build a Modern Eco Village from scratch in southeast Spain. Many of you already know parts of our story, especially those of you who have followed us for years through books, podcasts, and social media. You’ve seen the highs and the heartbreaks, the lows and the learning curves.
But the truth is, we didn’t start from the bottom. We started from below.
Eight years ago, we were living in an empty rented apartment in Norway. No furniture. No savings. No plan B. Just two people, wildly in love, way too hopeful for our own good. We were young, naive, and adamant about creating an epic life together...
The Team
All the people in our team are actual members of the village and they will be our neighbours. It is reassuring in so many ways knowing that the builders, architects, engineers, designers etc will actually live in the MEV and in addition to their working moral and expertise, their motivation is also personal. We all share the same vision and work towards the same goals. We recorded a few short videos from the key people in our project, check out what they have to say about their role in the MEV.
