What country are you from?
Norway
What drew you to the MEV and what excites you about living in this community?
My husband and I watched the blue zone on Netflix, and I followed Belinda on Instagram/Snap then. So when she shared her idea, I told my husband; we should live there too - manifested. So the motivation was there and was reinforced by Belinda and Iancu's platform. Grateful for them!
Who are you as a person? (personality, values, etc.)
I am the one with the popcorn head - lots of ideas and thoughts, and like to jump. A creative soul with a positive attitude to most things because hope is my great motivation. Am a aries, so a little stubborn but not static. Am introverted but experienced as extroverted. Charging in my own company, but also likes the social. Am very playful if I am safe, and giving is my language of joy. I support the uniqueness of humans and believe that in love we can overcome anything.
Tell us about yourself and/or your family—your interests, hobbies, occupation, and passions.
I have been a mom to beautiful Jamie for 10 years now (he came to us when he was 7). My husband and I have been together for 19 years. I said when I was 12 that when I grew up I would take care of children in need. So we have been visiting home and fostering home for a combined 16 years. So life's values have also been a hobby. Otherwise I like development, who what where - what opportunities do we have and how to implement them. Humanity has always interested me, both through my own traumas but also through studies. My latest hobby is getting to know my nervous system better and learning yoga. I am curious about the sustainable human being and what it can become. I work as an environmental supervisor at the elementary school today. I am a qualified child welfare educator, have taken further training in substance abuse and psychiatry, and trauma treatment and crisis management. I work with the psychosocial. I have one-on-one conversations, groups such as safe upbringing and supervise teachers and work closely with the management. I collaborate with the resource group in the school and other agencies. I like to say that I am the one at the school who is inside but outside. Hehe..
What will be your role in the community? (e.g., sustainability projects, community gatherings, permaculture, holistic wellness, creative workshops, education, etc.)
I am where there is relational use for me. I can be a good right hand, as I have many ideas, am positive and can do many things at the same time. Gives hugs and is practical in what I like and has a lot of care in me. I can function in school, in taking care of other groups of people who will come to mev.I am a good hostess and makes the table setting a little extra when I invite friends. I have also helped others with decorating houses before selling and given tips to those who have asked. I am creative and always have an idea.
What does your dream community look like? Dream day in the MEV?
We respect our differences, say hello to everyone and we become a better version of ourselves. We dance and play a lot. We climb trees, run barefoot. We meet big and small. We learn from each other's cultures and take care of each other
