I'm from Romania, lived most of my life in Italy and now U.S.
What drew you to the MEV and what excites you about living in this community?
I'm drawn to the MEV because I'm passionate about sustainable living practices and want to be part of a community that shares those values. I crave genuine connection with neighbors who are working toward similar goals.
What excites me most is the opportunity to raise my child in an environment surrounded by like-minded people who prioritize both environmental responsibility and community care. The idea of them having multiple caring adults around and learning from a community that values both the planet and each other feels like such a gift.
I'm also excited about the practical aspects - learning from others' knowledge while contributing my own skills to our shared goals.
Who are you as a person? (personality, values, etc.)
I'm an extrovert who thrives on being around people and genuinely loves helping others. I find joy in bringing happiness to those around me - whether through thoughtful gifts, organizing gatherings, or simply being there for support. Family is central to my values, and I believe in creating caring relationships where people feel seen and valued.
Tell us about yourself and/or your family—your interests, hobbies, occupation, and passions.
I work as an architect and am passionate about biophilic architecture - designing spaces that connect people with nature and promote well-being. This passion extends into other areas of my life: I love art, fashion, and health, and I'm always exploring how beauty and sustainability can work together.
In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, reading, taking walks in nature, drawing, watching movies, and cooking healthy food.
My family consists of my husband Ionut and our son Castiel. As a family, we love to go for walks, play outside, and eat together.
I'm excited about the possibility of contributing my design skills to help create beautiful, functional spaces that enhance both individual well-being and community connection.
What will be your role in the community? (e.g., sustainability projects, community gatherings, permaculture, holistic wellness, creative workshops, education, etc.)
I'm excited to contribute in several ways. As an architect, I'd love to help with building projects that integrate nature and promote well-being. I'm also passionate about organizing community gatherings, social events, and cultural/creative activities that bring people together and strengthen our bonds. I would also love to participate somehow in shaping the education system for our kids, learn from who is already in the education system and help as much as I can.
What does your dream community look like? Dream day in the MEV?
My dream community is one where work, family, and community life flow together naturally, surrounded by nature and built on sustainable principles.
A dream day in the MEV would start with enjoying breakfast together as a family outside, listening to birds and connecting before the day begins. I'd love to work in the community workspaces, ideally on MEV projects when possible, or working remotely when needed.
I picture walking Castiel to preschool or school within the village, then enjoying lunch together as a family before he participates in creative afternoon activities with other children. After continuing our work, evenings would bring us together with other community members for sports or outdoor activities.
Dinner would be either in a community space featuring locally sourced ingredients, or at home with food from our community gardens. The day would end perfectly - enjoying a beautiful sunset in our backyard, feeling grateful for this balance of meaningful work, family connection, community bonds, and harmony with nature.
