June 2026 | The MEV lifestyle starts now | New Series

Hello hello friends,

We are starting something today that we have genuinely been excited about for a while, and we are so happy it's finally happening! 🤗

From the very beginning, one of our favorite things about building The MEV has been creating a strong, collaborative community. As you know, the people choosing this way of living are the ones helping bring this whole vision to life! This village is not only a place to live. It is a community of people coming together to share skills, passions, and offerings with each other. And now we want to share it with you!

We're making it official

So we decided to make it official. Offerings from the Village is a new series where we spotlight a future MEV resident and what they offer. Whether that’s yoga, health and wellness, crafts, food, language, design, and so much more. You will be the first to know, the first to connect, and the first to benefit from their offerings.

Quick note: a future MEV resident, is someone who has both joined the community and reserved their home to live here. If you also see yourself sharing your passions in The MEV, this series is for you too. :)

And first up is someone we would love for you to meet! 😊

Meet Kaitlyn 👩🏼‍🏫☀️

Kaitlyn is a certified Spanish teacher and has been teaching for 8 years. Originally from Chicago, she has always had a love for the Spanish language and culture and has lived in multiple Spanish speaking countries throughout her life such as Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Spain. 🇨🇱🇨🇷🇲🇽🇪🇸 She says that learning the language is what makes life in Spain really feel like home. Kaitlyn moved to Spain because she was craving exactly what so many of us are here for: community, a slower pace, and a life that feels centered around presence.

Beyond Spanish, she is also a certified yoga teacher, an avid writer, and a traveler. She is very excited about exchanging skills with everyone in The MEV and loves that it’s something we are already doing before the village is built. 😄This summer she is running another small group beginner Spanish series starting June 22nd, designed specifically for people who are living in or moving to Spain and want to finally feel comfortable in everyday interactions. From ordering in cafes and restaurants, looking around in shops, making appointments, getting around–everything you will need from day one of living here. ☀️

The group meets once a week via Zoom, plus a Snapchat group where everyone practices Spanish together throughout the week in real time. And if you are local, she will also plan an outing to put everything into practice in real life–the best kind of homework. 🤓 She makes learning a lot of fun, and in just 6 weeks you would be surprised how far you can get.

We love this series so much because the community does not start when we get the keys; it starts now. If you take a Spanish class with your future neighbor before you have ever set foot in the village, you arrive already knowing someone. That is what community looks like before the village even exists. And when that neighbor's offering reaches more people because we helped share it, everyone wins. When our residents thrive, the whole village thrives.
